Job summary

Terracon is seeking a field/lab testing technician to support inspection and material testing for construction projects. You will collect samples, perform tests on soils, aggregates, concrete, and asphalt, and prepare written and digital reports for the Project Manager.

Responsibilities include data analysis, clear communication, equipment maintenance, and adherence to safety standards on site. Relevant NICET/ICC/AWS/ASNT/ACI certifications are preferred for advancement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1–2 years of relevant field/testing experience or equivalent training.
• Experience with laptop use and MS Word/Excel; valid driver's license may be required.
• Active certifications in NICET, ICC, AWS, ASNT, or ACI are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs testing, observation, and inspection as directed with approved procedures.
• Provides clear documentation of findings and results.
• Performs basic analysis of data before submitting to the Project Manager.
• Communicates information to Project Manager and other personnel as directed.
• Assists higher level technicians on complex tasks.
• Maintains assigned equipment and related calibration.
• Follows safety rules and reports safety issues to management.
• Maintains quality standards on all projects.
