Job summary

Terracon is seeking a field technician to perform testing and inspection of construction materials such as soils, aggregates, concrete and asphalt. You will transport samples, prepare reports, and support project managers with data and safety protocols on site.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, 6 months experience, and a valid driver’s license. Nuclear Density Gauge and ACI certifications are expected within specified timeframes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 6 months experience required.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history.
• Nuclear Density Gauge certification within 6 months of hire.
• ACI certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist on tasks under close supervision and perform basic testing and observations duties.
• Provide clear documentation of findings and results.
• Communicate information to Project Manager and discuss data accuracy before submittal.
• Submit documentation and communicate results as directed by the Project Manager.
• Maintain assigned equipment and drive vehicles as needed.
• Adhere to safety standards and complete pre-task planning.
