Job summary

Insight Global in San Diego, CA is seeking a Desktop Support Technician to deploy new PCs, laptops and network printers, resolve software and hardware issues, and migrate user data to new devices. You will install apps from the Microsoft Software Center and configure printers with static IPs.

The role requires VPN knowledge, AD/DNS/Proxy familiarity, Office 365/Exchange experience, and strong customer service. Teamwork and adherence to timelines are essential.

Responsibilities

• Deploy new PC, laptops and Network Printers to replace aging devices on a timetable.
• Solve software and technical problems for Desktop PCs, laptops, peripherals, and printers.
• Install applications from Microsoft Software Center.
• Migrate user data from old PC/laptop to new device.
• Configure Network Printers with static IPs and Ethernet connectivity.
• Log, review, resolve, and close tickets in ServiceNow, HP Service Manager, Remedy or CA Service Desk.
