Job summary

Blue Chip Talent is seeking someone responsible for onsite Windows workstation and technology implementations, installing and connecting network hardware, and troubleshooting desktop and connectivity issues. The consultant will travel throughout an assigned regional territory for implementations and provide remote Tier 2 help desk support when not in the field.

The role is based in the Chicago area; candidates must reside within 45–60 miles of Chicago and be a US Citizen or Green Card holder.

Qualifications

• Experience installing and troubleshooting Windows software, drivers, printers, and peripherals.
• Experience troubleshooting Windows user accounts, login issues, and user profiles.
• Experience backing up, migrating, copying, and restoring Windows user profiles.
• Working knowledge of TCP/IP, LAN connectivity, device connectivity, and basic network troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience installing or connecting switches, wireless access points, firewalls, and related network equipment.
• Experience connecting endpoints and infrastructure hardware to existing networks and internet services.
• Ability to regularly travel between assigned locations and occasionally travel outside the primary regional territory.
• Experience supporting SaaS applications.
• Healthcare, medical, dental, or other clinical IT support experience.
• Experience deploying across multiple physical locations.
• Experience working with remote help desk or IT service-management ticketing systems.
• Familiarity with multi-site network and endpoint environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform onsite technology implementations and workstation deployments across multiple locations.
• Install and configure Windows software, drivers, printers, and peripheral devices.
• Troubleshoot Windows user accounts, login issues, profiles, printers, and desktop applications.
• Back up, copy, migrate, and restore Windows user profiles during workstation deployments.
• Physically install and connect switches, wireless access points, firewalls, and related infrastructure hardware.
• Connect workstations and network equipment to local networks and internet services.
• Diagnose basic network and connectivity issues and coordinate advanced configuration with remote systems resources.
• Resolve remote Tier 2 help desk tickets when not assigned to onsite implementations.
