Job summary

Blue Chip Talent is seeking a skilled IT Desktop Support Technician / Field Technician to provide Tier 2 Windows desktop support and onsite deployments across multiple office locations in the Atlanta area. The role requires regular local and regional travel to support field implementations and remote users.

You will install software, drivers, printers, and hardware in Windows environments, troubleshoot login issues and profiles, and connect network equipment.

Qualifications

• Onsite Windows desktop support and hardware deployments.
• Troubleshoot Windows user accounts, profiles, and peripherals.
• Backup/migrate/restore user profiles and data as needed.
• Basic TCP/IP, LAN, wireless network familiarity.
• Install and connect network gear (switches, APs, firewalls).
• Deploy and configure hardware across multiple locations in field.

Responsibilities

• Perform onsite workstation, peripheral, and IT hardware deployments across multiple locations
• Install software, drivers, printers, and other desktop components in Windows environments
• Troubleshoot Windows user accounts, login issues, user profiles, printers, and desktop hardware
• Back up, copy, migrate, and restore Windows user profiles and data
• Install and physically connect network equipment including switches, wireless access points, firewalls, and related hardware
• Connect workstations and infrastructure equipment to local networks and ISP services
• Diagnose and resolve basic network connectivity issues while escalating advanced configuration needs to system administrators
• Provide remote Tier 2 help desk support when not performing onsite implementations

This role is responsible for providing Tier 2 Windows desktop support, deploying onsite IT hardware and network equipment, and supporting users remotely between field implementations. The position requires regular local and regional travel to multiple office locations.

Job Duties:

• Perform onsite workstation, peripheral, and IT hardware deployments across multiple locations
• Install software, drivers, printers, and other desktop components in Windows environments
• Troubleshoot Windows user accounts, login issues, user profiles, printers, and desktop hardware
• Back up, copy, migrate, and restore Windows user profiles and data
• Install and physically connect network equipment including switches, wireless access points, firewalls, and related hardware

Skills Required:

• Hands-on experience installing software, drivers, printers, and desktop hardware

• Experience performing user profile backup, migration, copying, and restoration
• Working knowledge of TCP/IP, LAN connectivity, wireless networking, and basic network troubleshooting
• Hands-on experience installing and connecting switches, wireless access points, firewalls or similar network equipment
• Experience deploying and configuring workstations and related IT hardware in field or multi-site environments
• Ability to travel regularly between assigned office locations, with frequent or regular days ....
