Job summary

Compucom Systems, Inc. is seeking a Field Tech II to join our team in Michigan. The IT Field Technician will provide onsite support for a national home improvement retailer, with a company vehicle, fuel card, and tools provided.

Training is two weeks onsite with a seasoned technician to ensure smooth onboarding. The role involves installing, troubleshooting hardware and software, supporting networking, and documenting work in the ticketing system.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of IT technical support or field technician experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite support for IT equipment including POS systems, desktops, printers, thin clients, access points, and network devices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
• Perform installations, upgrades, and break/fix support.
• Support copper and fiber cabling, including basic terminations.
• Document all work, updates, and resolutions in ticketing systems.
• Travel daily to provide onsite support at Lansing, Saginaw, and surrounding MI locations.
• Work with remote teams to resolve escalated technical issues.
