Job summary

VOACC is seeking an ITS Desktop Support Technician to deliver in-office and remote assistance for computer systems, software, and user devices in the NC region. The role includes setup, monitoring, and support for Windows environments, with travel up to 50% and field visits using a company vehicle.

The ideal candidate holds an Associate degree and 2–5 years of helpdesk experience, with strong AD, Office 365, Zendesk, and VPN skills, plus excellent customer service and communication abilities.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a related field (Computer Science, telecommunications, etc).
• 2–5 years of experience as a Helpdesk Technician or ITS Specialist or similar.
• Experience in healthcare or human services environments with HIPAA knowledge preferred.
• Experience with password resets, desktop troubleshooting, and applications support.
• Proven experience providing desktop support, Active Directory, Office 365, and various cloud apps.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance and support for queries related to computer systems, software, hardware, printers, and phones.
• Respond to queries via phone and email and manage ticket queue.
• Set up user accounts and permissions; monitor security and VPN access.
• Assist in onboarding new staff and training on hardware and software usage.
• Coordinate with vendors for hardware/software issues and test new applications.
