The ideal candidate will work independently in the field, support end users, and manage a steady travel schedule to various locations. 6-month contract with W2 employment terms.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant IT support experience (oil & gas preferred).
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
• Strong experience with PCs, LAN/WAN, wireless, VPNs, and web apps.
• Experience with Windows 10/11 and standard business apps.
• Knowledge of Windows Server 2019, Cisco routers and switches.
• Experience configuring mobile devices (iOS/Android).
• Printer setup and support (HP LaserJet/ multifunction).
• Familiar with ITSM platforms; BMC Remedy preferred.
• Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide second-level desktop support for hardware, software, and peripherals.
• Act as primary IT contact for assigned sites and coordinate escalations.
• Troubleshoot Windows 10/11, apps, hardware, peripherals, and connectivity.
• Support IT initiatives, upgrades, deployments, testing, and projects.
• Install and troubleshoot PCs, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and MFDs.
• Support LAN/WAN, wireless, VPN, routers, switches, and site infra.
• Maintain accurate IT asset inventories; update tracking systems.
• Document calls, steps, resolutions, and asset data.
• Provide end-user training on IT equipment and services.
• Handle high volume of tickets with responsive service.
• Collaborate with IT teams on infra changes and issues.
• Maintain knowledge base; continuous learning.
• Provide after-hours support as needed.
