Job summary

My IT Crew’s Onsite Technical Alignment Engineer role involves evaluating client environments and aligning them with MITC standards. It is field-based with daily client visits and requires reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and the ability to travel between client sites.

You will document findings, address weaknesses, and work with multiple teams to improve infrastructure, security, and operations, ensuring a stable IT experience for clients.

Responsibilities

• Conducting regular onsite assessments to evaluate client systems, infrastructure, and overall technical alignment.
• Identifying weaknesses, inconsistencies, and potential points of failure, then taking action to address them.
• Digging deeper into recurring issues to determine their underlying causes and implement long-term corrections.
• Reviewing existing technology setups against MITC standards and recognized industry best practices.
• Recognizing potential security, infrastructure, and operational risks and ensuring they are addressed or escalated appropriately.
• Partnering with the Project Team during new client implementations to establish environments that meet our technical expectations from the start.
• Maintaining clear records of site assessments, technical findings, completed work, and recommended next steps.
• Supplying our vCIO with reliable information about client infrastructure to support technology planning and strategic decisions.
• Contributing ideas that improve internal procedures, technical standards, and the consistency of our service delivery.
• Keeping teammates informed of changes to technical standards and practices that may affect their work.
• Recording work performed and time spent accurately in our service management system.
