Job summary

PennDOT is seeking a Workstation Specialist to install, configure, and troubleshoot PC hardware and software across District 5-0 sites including field offices, stockpiles, and remote locations. The role covers imaging, VPN, network cabling, and end-user support with travel throughout the six-country district.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in enterprise PC support, experience with Remedy and SCCM, and strong communication skills in English.

Qualifications

Valid Driver’s License required.
Flexibility to travel to other PA districts for trainings or meetings.
2+ years installing, configuring and troubleshooting PC hardware/software in an enterprise LAN/WAN.
2+ years installing and supporting laptops/docking stations.
2+ years installing and supporting multifunction print devices.
2+ years experience with Remedy or similar ticketing system.
2+ years experience with premise cabling (Cat5e/6).
Strong written and spoken English communication; ability to follow SOPs and document processes.

Responsibilities

Install and configure PC hardware and peripherals to meet user requirements.
Install and troubleshoot Cisco VPN routers and AnyConnect software.
Connect PCs and printers to network or local device; manage Active Directory workstation names.
Plan, schedule, and track hardware deployments; manage imaging tasks.
Document technical processes and update Remedy tickets; monitor SCCM for compliance.
Provide end-user training on deployed equipment and software; respond to workstation requests.
