Job summary

PennDOT is seeking a Workstation Specialist to install, support, and troubleshoot PC hardware, software, and related peripherals across district offices and field sites in the five-county region. The role requires travel throughout the Commonwealth and frequent coordination with the IT team to support users, devices, and networks.

The candidate should have 4+ years in enterprise IT environments, experience with Remedy, SCCM, Active Directory, and network cabling, plus a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License.
• 4+ years experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting PC hardware/software in an enterprise LAN/WAN environment.
• 4+ years of experience installing and supporting laptops/docking stations.
• 4+ years of experience installing and supporting multifunction print devices.
• 2+ years experience with Remedy or similar ticketing system.
• 2+ years experience with premise cabling (installing Cat5e/6 cable and terminations).
• Solid written and spoken English communication.

Responsibilities

• Installs computer system hardware, software, and related peripherals per procedures.
• Responds to workstation-related trouble calls on-site and remotely.
• Configures networked PCs and printers; assigns workstation names via Active Directory.
• Installs and tests images; plans and tracks hardware deployments.
• Trains end users on new equipment and software.
• Maintains equipment inventory and updates Remedy Asset Management System.
• Provides telecommunication equipment support and documentation.
