Job summary

Republic Services, Inc. is seeking a Field IT Engineer to ensure effective IT operations at field locations.

You will plan, coordinate and implement IT-related activities, maintaining relationships between field staff and Corporate IT to communicate technology plans and issues. Responsibilities include level two support for WANs/LANs, hardware lifecycle, Cisco VOIP systems, and proactive efficiency improvements, with up to 75% travel across the South Texas and Louisiana territories and remote

Qualifications

• 4 years of computer network experience.
• Experience with Cisco VOIP/UCCE.

Responsibilities

• Provide level two support for WANs, LANs, field servers and field applications, including on-call and on-site support.
• Liaise between field staff, management, vendors and Corporate IT.
• Identify and report proactive solutions to improve operational efficiency at field locations.
• Participate in installation, replacement, disposal of field computer hardware.
• Manage and maintain IT infrastructure at field locations.
• Troubleshoot and administer Cisco VOIP phone systems including user add/change/moves; coordinate with 3rd party consultants.
