Job summary

VC3, Inc. in Portland, Oregon seeks an IT Field Engineer I to provide hands-on on-site support at client sites, installing hardware, configuring software, and troubleshooting network issues. You will collaborate with VC3 technicians and support connectivity solutions including VPN, RDS, and Citrix.

The role requires 2 years of technical experience or 1 year at VC3 in service technician roles, a valid driver’s license, and willingness to participate in on-call rotations.

Qualifications

• 2 years of relevant technical experience OR 1 year in VC3 Service Technician I/II.
• 2 years experience managing Windows Client OS, Office 365, Virus & Security, TCP/IP, DHCP and DNS.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle for client site visits.

Responsibilities

• Drive to client sites as scheduled and communicate delays promptly.
• Install and set up computer hardware, software and peripherals.
• Troubleshoot onsite workstation and printer issues.
• Collaborate with VC3 staff for connectivity issues (VPN, RDS, Citrix).
• Educate clients on technical standards and best practices.
• Maintain accurate timesheets and client communication notes.
• Participate in on-call rotation (1 week every 3-4 months).
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
