Job summary

Westat, Inc. is seeking Field Interviewers to support the Medical Expenditure Panel Survey (MEPS). FIs conduct in-person and computer-assisted interviews with adults in a nationally representative sample, traveling to households and coordinating with a field supervisor.

This is a part-time, year-round position with two data collection periods. Training occurs in January 2027, and some assignments may require overnight travel. Strong data security and confidentiality are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ with ability to sign confidentiality agreements.
• Available to complete mandatory web-based home study training between Jan 4–15, 2027.
• Willing to travel to in-person training on Jan 19–25, 2027.
• Available to complete post-training home study between Jan 26–31, 2027.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-person and computer-assisted interviews with adults in households.
• Travel to and from MEPS study locations, including possible overnight travel.
• Transmit electronic data daily when working.
• Complete administrative paperwork and maintain confidentiality.
• Work during evenings and weekends as households require.
