Job summary

Westat is seeking Field Interviewers for the Medical Expenditure Panel Survey (MEPS) to conduct in-person and computer-assisted interviews with adults in nationally representative households.

FIs travel to in-person training in January 2027 and may travel locally or long-distance for interviews. This is a part-time, non-exempt position with data transmission duties and strict confidentiality requirements.

Qualifications

• Be 18 or older with confidentiality obligations.
• Be available for mandatory web-based training between January 4 and January 15, 2027.
• Be available for in-person training starting January 20, 2027.
• Be available for post-training web-based activities and a home study between January 26 and January 31, 2027.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-person and computer-assisted interviews with adults in households.
• Contact households in-person and by phone to introduce the study and gain cooperation.
• Set appointments, complete interviews, and collect signed documents.
• Transmit electronic data daily when work occurs, and comply with data security requirements.
