Job summary

Westat is seeking Field Interviewers for the MEPS study in the United States. You will conduct in-person and video interviews, contact households, set appointments, and collect data using a Westat laptop. Daily data transmission and strict confidentiality are required.

The role is part-time, with two annual data collection periods, and requires travel to local and occasionally long-distance households, with some overnight trips and mandatory trainings in January 2027.

Qualifications

• Be 18 or older and able to sign confidentiality agreements.
• Available to complete mandatory trainings between January 4–15, 2027.
• Travel to in-person training and complete post-training activities in January 2027.
• Able to travel to designated areas for in-person interviews and occasional overnight trips.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-person and computer-assisted video interviews with adults.
• Contact households, set appointments, complete interviews, and collect documents.
• Transmit data daily and comply with data security requirements.
• Complete administrative paperwork and report to a field supervisor.
