Nextlink is seeking a Field Installation Technician to deliver on-site Internet services and support at customer locations. The role requires installing equipment, configuring routers, and ensuring service reliability, with a strong emphasis on customer service and safety.

The position involves field work, occasional overtime, and on-call duties. Applicants should be able to work independently, climb to access equipment, and pass a drug screen and background check per company policy.

Qualifications

• Must pass a drug screening and criminal background check.
• Must maintain a valid driver's license with a safe driving record.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Strong customer service and technical aptitude.
• Willingness to perform on-call and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform site surveys for potential customers to evaluate serviceability.
• Diagnose customer problems at service calls and restore functional service to existing customers.
• Install new customers with Internet service based on technology available, including mounting equipment and running cabling.
• Configure routers and customer computers for access to Internet services.
• Perform equipment upgrades for existing customers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
