Job summary

FCX Performance, an Applied Industrial Technologies Company, seeks a field service technician to install, calibrate, and troubleshoot instrumentation and control systems at customer sites. You will commission loops, calibrate devices, and perform minor electrical maintenance while documenting all actions and maintaining logs of service calls and parts.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of experience with process/control equipment, strong PC skills, and PLC/program drive troubleshooting.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required; technical/associates degree preferred.
2+ years of experience installing, maintaining, and repairing process/control equipment including instrumentation, valves, actuators, pumps.
Strong computer proficiency to operate electronic and microcomputer instruments used to measure/control pressure, flow, temperature, etc.
Electrical/electrician experience.
PLC programming and troubleshooting experience.
Programming and troubleshooting drives.

Responsibilities

Perform field maintenance, installation, troubleshooting, and repair of instrumentation and control systems.
Calibrate pressure, temperature, flow and other instrumentation; commission instrumentation and shoot loops.
Install and calibrate measuring and positioning devices; perform minor electrical maintenance.
Complete documentation for actions taken and maintain logs of service calls, parts, and orders.
Travel to customer sites using company vehicle; maintain defensive driving and professionalism.
Identify safety issues and opportunities for upgrades at customer facilities.
Research task criteria before arriving on site; ensure safe and compliant work practices.
