Job summary

Applied Industrial Technologies is seeking a field service technician to install, calibrate, and repair instrumentation and control systems at customer sites. You will calibrate sensors, commission loops, and document all service activity.

The role requires strong mechanical and electrical skills, plus PLC programming/troubleshooting experience. Travel to varied customer facilities with a company vehicle is expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associates/Technical Degree preferred.
• 2+ years installing, maintaining, and repairing process/control equipment.
• Strong computer proficiency operating instruments and sensors.
• Strong mechanical proficiency with hand/power tools.
• Electrical/electrician experience is a plus.
• Industrial safety training preferred.
• PLC programming and troubleshooting experience.
• Programming and troubleshooting drives.

Responsibilities

• Perform field maintenance, installation, troubleshooting, and repair of instrumentation and control systems.
• Calibrate pressure, temperature, flow and other instrumentation.
• Commission instrumentation and shoot loops.
• Install and calibrate measuring and positioning devices.
• Perform minor electrical maintenance.
• Document actions and maintain logs of service calls, parts, and orders.
• Represent Company during field service with a can‑do attitude.
• Identify and report safety issues to the customer.
• Identify opportunities for upgrades at the customer facility.
• Travel to job sites using company vehicle.
