Job summary

PacifiCorp is seeking an Instrument and Control Technician to maintain and repair plant instrumentation and control systems ensuring safe operation of power generation units. The role focuses on calibration, maintenance, testing, and record-keeping under supervision.

Applicants should have 3+ years in instrument and control work, experience with DCS/SCADA/PLC, and knowledge of NOx/SOx and water chemistry. This is a full-time, on-site position in Huntington, UT with a comprehensive benefits

Qualifications

Minimum three years of journey-level instrument and control experience in calibration, maintenance and troubleshooting.
Hands-on experience with analog/digital controls, environmental measurements, and plant instrumentation systems.
Knowledge of DCS/SCADA/PLC architectures and safety practices.
Experience with water chemistry monitoring and process control.
Strong understanding of AC/DC theory and test equipment usage.

Responsibilities

Inspect, repair, calibrate, and perform preventive maintenance on plant control systems.
Test and calibrate emission monitoring and scrubber systems to meet environmental standards.
Maintain water treatment instrumentation and plant chemistry controls.
Record daily maintenance activities and calibration data for audits.
Study diagrams and consult with supervisors/vendors to resolve issues.
Follow safety procedures to protect personnel and equipment.
