Job summary

Plains is seeking an Intermediate E&I Technician to provide electrical and instrumentation support for field assets across Texas, including tank farms and pump stations. You will install, calibrate, maintain, and repair equipment, read electrical drawings, and work with PLCs, flow computers, and control systems, in safety-focused environments.

A high school diploma and 2 years of related experience are preferred; a related apprenticeship is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferably 2nd/3rd year in a trades apprenticeship.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and maps.
• Knowledge of electrical codes and pipeline facility operations.
• Proficient with PLCs, flow computers, and related controls.

Responsibilities

• Perform instrumentation and preventive maintenance with minimal supervision.
• Calibrate equipment and troubleshoot control devices and valves.
• Maintain safety and process monitoring systems and documentation.
• Read drawings, maps, and schematics; assist in load studies.
• Respond to emergencies and support maintenance planning.
• Interface with electricians and other trades on site.
