Job summary

Plains is seeking an Intermediate E&I Technician to provide electrical and instrumentation support across field assets, including tank farms and pump stations. Role involves installation, calibration, maintenance, and repair under minimal supervision, with safety-first practices in open environments and in proximity to high voltage and chemicals.

Candidates should have at least a high school diploma, 2nd/3rd year trades apprenticeship, and 2 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completed 2nd or 3rd year of related trades apprenticeship preferred.
• Minimum two years of relevant work experience.
• Ability to read/write English and perform basic math.
• Ability to work in a team-based environment with strong communication.
• Read electrical drawings, pipelines maps, schematics, and manuals.

Responsibilities

• Perform instrumentation/maintenance tasks with minimal supervision.
• Work independently and set own priorities.
• Maintain calibration equipment and resolve abnormal conditions.
• Perform preventive maintenance on control devices and switchgear.
• Service meters, valves, and regulators; ensure documentation and compliance.
• Assist with plant safety checks and emergency response as needed.
