Job summary

Applied Industrial Technologies is seeking a Field Service Technician in Michigan to install, calibrate, and repair instrumentation and control systems at customer sites. You will document activity, travel between locations, and maintain logs of parts and service calls, ensuring safety and quality on every job.

The role requires 2+ years in process/controls equipment, strong electrical/mechanical skills, and willingness to travel overnight.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required; Associates Degree/Technical Degree preferred.
• 2+ years installing, maintaining, and repairing Process/Control equipment including instrumentation, valves, actuators, pumps.
• Strong computer proficiency to operate electronic and microcomputer instruments used to measure and control variables such as pressure, flow, temperature, and level.
• Electrical/electrician experience; tubing, tray, and instrument stand installation experience.
• Industrial safety training; PLC programming and troubleshooting; drives programming.

Responsibilities

• Perform field maintenance, installation, troubleshooting, and repair of instrumentation and control systems in a timely, accurate, and safe manner.
• Complete all applicable documentation for actions taken; report job activity and maintain logs of service calls, parts, and orders.
• Represent the Company during Field Service tasks with a “can do” attitude.
• Identify and report safety issues to the proper customer representative; identify upgrade opportunities at the customer facility.
• Use company vehicle to travel to and from job sites while maintaining defensive driving habits.
