Job summary

Applied Industrial Technologies is seeking a Field Service Technician to perform maintenance, installation, and repair of instrumentation and control systems at customer sites across diverse environments.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or technical degree, 2+ years in process equipment, and strong computer and mechanical skills, including PLCs and drives troubleshooting. Travel, safety awareness, and a professional demeanor are required.

Qualifications

• Education and hands-on experience with instrumentation, valves, actuators, pumps.
• Ability to install, maintain, and repair process/control equipment.
• Experience with calibration and commissioning of instruments.
• Proficient in operating hand and power tools; industrial safety trained.

Responsibilities

• Perform field maintenance, installation, troubleshooting, and repair of instrumentation and control systems.
• Document actions and maintain logs of service calls, parts, and orders.
• Represent the company during field service with a can-do attitude.
• Identify safety issues and opportunities for upgrades at customer sites.
• Travel to job sites using company vehicle and follow defensive driving practices.
