Job summary
Mid-State Industrial Maintenance in Lakeland, FL is seeking an Industrial Instrumentation & Controls Technician to install, calibrate, commission, and troubleshoot instrumentation and control systems at heavy industrial facilities. This journeyman-level role requires independent work, reading technical docs, diagnosing complex issues, and ensuring safe, professional operation in active environments.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or recognized equivalent.
- Technical training in industrial instrumentation, electronics, or related field.
- Experience in industrial instrumentation/controls preferred.
Responsibilities
- Install, calibrate, troubleshoot instruments measuring process variables.
- Service transmitters, sensors, actuators, and control panels.
- Read P&IDs, wiring diagrams, and control narratives.
- Configure field instruments using handheld tools and vendor software.
- Perform loop, function, and commissioning tests.
- Troubleshoot control loops and faults in field devices and networks.
- Maintain calibration records and turnover packages.
- Coordinate with customers and other trades on site.
