Bürkert USA Corp is seeking an experienced Field Service Technician to install, commission, and service valves, actuators, and instrumentation at pharmaceutical, biotech, and industrial sites across the United States. You will diagnose faults, calibrate devices on-site, and document procedures with customer sign-off.

Expect substantial travel (up to 60%) with a base in the Charlotte area. The role emphasizes strong customer communication and hands-on maintenance in process industries.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in field service or hands-on maintenance in process industries.
• Experience installing and repairing industrial valves and instrumentation on-site.
• Strong fault-finding in electro-pneumatic systems and control loops.

Responsibilities

• Install and commission Bürkert valves and instrumentation at sites.
• Perform startup checks, loop tests, and functional testing per procedures.
• Configure and calibrate devices on-site to customer specs, with basic adjustments.
• Document commissioning activities and hand over clear test records and sign-off.
• Diagnose faults in electro-pneumatic systems and perform repairs as needed.
• Maintain calibration records and field service reports.
• Travel nationwide up to 60%; support Charlotte office and service program development.
