Job summary

Red River is seeking a Field Installation Engineer to lead planning, installation, configuration, calibration, validation, and optimization of network and infrastructure solutions across customer and internal environments.

You will install, configure, and test equipment such as switches, routers, firewalls, wireless gear, and servers; interpret diagrams; perform site surveys; assess risks; and collaborate with project managers and customers to ensure on-time, high-quality deployment with safety

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in IT/Networking/Telecommunications/Electronics.
• 3+ years installing, deploying or supporting network and infrastructure technologies.
• Ability to read diagrams, blueprints and implementation documentation.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, calibrate, upgrade, and validate network and infrastructure equipment.
• Analyze installation requirements and develop installation plans.
• Conduct site surveys and determine tools, equipment and personnel needed.
• Assess site conditions and determine installation approaches.
• Troubleshoot network/Wi-Fi/infrastructure issues and optimize performance.
• Conduct wireless site surveys and RF environment evaluations.
• Test equipment and validate installation methods before turnover.
• Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to review scope and plans.
• Prepare installation documentation, logs, and validation results.
• Provide customers with implementation updates and guidance while upholding standards.
