Job summary

CDM Smith Inc. is seeking an on-site Field Inspector to support transportation construction projects across multiple locations. You will inspect traffic control, environmental controls, layout, construction methods and materials, and report findings to engineers.

This role requires a High School diploma, a valid driver's license, and the ability to travel 20%–40% to project sites. Proficiency in English communication and MS Office is essential for daily reporting and coordination.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
• Travel frequency varies by project duties.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections of traffic control, environmental controls, layout, construction methods and materials, under direct supervision.
• Review daily contractor reports and QC procedures for conformance with the approved Quality Control Plan and procedures.
• Review material testing procedures and measure quantities of materials placed.
• May perform sampling and in-place testing of soil, aggregate base, concrete, and asphalt pavement.
