Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an on-site inspector to join our Transportation Construction team. You will perform inspections, review QC, and support field operations at multiple project locations across the U.S. Travel 20-40% is expected, with supervision from senior inspectors and engineers.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, relevant certifications, a valid driver’s license, and at least 2 years of related experience. Strong math, reading plans, and MS Office skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 2 years of related experience.
• Certifications from ACI or NICET may be required by client/jurisdiction.
• Valid driver's license is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections of traffic control, environmental controls, layout, construction methods and materials.
• Review and accept/reject daily contractor reports and QC procedures.
• Review material testing procedures and results for contract conformance; may sample and test soils and pavements.
