Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an Inspector to perform basic to high complexity inspections of transportation infrastructure, ensuring conformance to plans, specs and provisions. You will read and interpret drawings, perform field measurements, and communicate results to the project supervisor.

The role requires a High School diploma or equivalent, 6 years of related experience, and a valid driver's license. Domestic and/or international travel may be required, with travel 20%–40% typical for assignments.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• 6 years of related inspection experience; travel may be required.
• Valid driver’s license; client/job-site licensing may apply.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience can substitute for a degree.

Responsibilities

• Inspect transportation infrastructure per plans and specifications.
• Perform basic to high complexity inspections across categories (roadway, bridges, drainage, erosion control, maintenance & traffic).
• Review drawings, specifications and plans to prepare for inspections.
• Document inspection results and communicate to project supervisor.
• Plan and assign inspection tasks for team members as needed.
