Job summary

Pasco County is seeking a Certified Engineering Inspector I to perform field reviews, monitor contractor performance, and ensure compliance with plans and specifications on public works projects.

You will prepare field logs, testing reports, and project files, participate in design-phase reviews, and assist the project team with scheduling and technical documentation. A valid Florida driver's license and CTQP/ACI certifications are required or obtainable within 12 months.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 4 years of experience with a contractor, engineer, or governmental entity performing public works projects.
• College level civil engineering or drafting training preferred.
• Must possess a valid Florida driver's license and obtain CTQP/ACI/MOT certifications within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Performs field reviews and observes contractor performance for compliance with plans and specifications.
• Prepares field logs, compiles testing reports, and tracks changes forming a project file.
• Attends construction meetings and helps adjust project schedules and field issue resolution.
• Performs related duties and may lift up to 25 pounds and work outdoors in varying conditions.
