Job summary

Pasco County is seeking a Certified Engineering Inspector I to perform field inspection on Capital Improvement Projects (CIP). You will ensure compliance with plans, specs, and contract documents, while recording construction activity related to materials, earthwork, drainage, and road construction.

Essential duties include field reviews, verification with the contractor's quality control team, preparing logs and reports, and participating in constructability reviews.

Qualifications

• Experience performing field reviews on public works projects.
• Ability to prepare inspection reports and related documentation.
• Familiarity with project plans, specs and contract documents.
• Knowledge of safety and regulatory requirements for civil construction.

Responsibilities

• Perform field reviews and observe contractor performance for compliance with plans and specs.
• Act as Verification Technician with the contractor's quality control team.
• Prepare field logs, test reports, and project files for review by project manager and supervisor.
• Conduct constructability reviews and measurements; investigate citizen complaints related to codes and regulations.
• Attend construction meetings to adjust schedules and resolve field issues.
