Pasco County is seeking a Certified Engineering Inspector I to perform field inspection on Capital Improvement Projects (CIP). You will ensure compliance with plans, specs, and contract documents, while recording construction activity related to materials, earthwork, drainage, and road construction.
Essential duties include field reviews, verification with the contractor's quality control team, preparing logs and reports, and participating in constructability reviews.

Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and also push or pull heavy objects. May use a handling device (dolly, cart, etc.) or work with another team member to lift and/or move excessively heavy objects. Requires standing, walking, bending, stooping, sitting, and performing field reviews. Works indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to communicate effectively using verbal, written and visual communication.
Graduation from high school or possession of an acceptable equivalency diploma. Four (4) years' experience in a responsible position with a contractor, engineer, or governmental entity performing public works projects. College level work in civil engineering or drafting technology or industry training in roadway construction and drainage preferred.
Must possess a valid Florida driver's license. Must be able to obtain the following certifications within twelve (12) months: CTQP Earthwork Construction Level 1, CTQP Asphalt Paving Level 1, and ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician Grade 1. Certification in MOT - Advanced Level is preferred.
