Job summary

Sunoco LP in Minnesota seeks an Instrument and Electrical Technician to support control systems, SCADA, and plant facilities. You will install, diagnose, and maintain PLCs and DCS, perform preventive maintenance, and troubleshoot equipment across pipelines and stations to ensure safe, compliant operation.

Requirements include a high school diploma, a valid driver’s license, and experience with InTouch Wonderware, RSLogix, DeltaV, and FactoryTalk.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with safe driving record.
• Proficiency with MS Office including Outlook and Word.
• Experience troubleshooting control systems and instrumentation software.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and electrical safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Install, diagnose, and maintain SCADA systems and field equipment.
• Repair and maintain PLCs/DCS and process/ safety controls.
• Read manuals, drawings, and schematics for compliance.
• Test, calibrate, and document control devices per DOT/PSM requirements.
• Participate in call-outs and safety programs; mentor junior staff.
