Job summary

Tetra Tech is seeking an Instrumentation & Electrical (I&E) Technician to support our systems integration and engineering services team in Texas. The role focuses on installation, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of instrumentation, electrical, control, measurement, and communications systems in upstream and midstream oil and gas environments.

The technician will work with power, control, sensing, safety, and automation systems, supervise apprentice crew members, and ensure safe,

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of instrumentation and electrical experience in industrial oil and gas environments.
Experience installing, calibrating, maintaining, and troubleshooting process instrumentation and electrical systems.
Ability to read, interpret, and work from electrical schematics, drawings, and wiring diagrams.
Proficiency with PLCs, RTUs, EFMs, and related control systems.

Responsibilities

Install electrical power, control, and instrumentation systems for upstream/midstream oil & gas.
Configure, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot field instrumentation and control systems.
Troubleshoot relays, VFDs, wireless/hard-wired instrumentation, PLCs, RTUs, EFMs.
Coordinate with project teams and provide guidance to apprentice crew members.
