Job summary

Atlas Energy Solutions is seeking an I&E Technician to install, troubleshoot, and maintain instrumentation, electrical distribution, and control systems across our West Texas operations. You will calibrate devices, test controls, and document results while guiding third-party contractors to ensure safety and Atlas quality standards.

Work involves field, shop, and outdoor environments with a rotational schedule and up to 50% travel.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5 years of instrumentation and electrical experience required.
• Working knowledge of electricity, electrical systems, and motors.
• Experience using software to troubleshoot, design, or configure control solutions.
• Proficiency with instrumentation and electrical hand tools, meters, and calibration equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical, pneumatic, and P&ID drawings and schematics.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Install, diagnose, and maintain pneumatic and smart instrumentation, electrical distribution systems, motor control equipment, and the associated equipment software.
• Read and interpret manuals, company policies, engineering standards, drawings, and schematics, including electrical, pneumatic, and P&ID drawings.
• Perform testing and calibration of control devices and document results.
• Use software tools to troubleshoot, configure, and support control solutions.
• Provide technical direction and oversight to third-party contractors, inspect their work for quality and compliance with Atlas standards.
• Perform energy isolation lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures and follow all permit and safe-work requirements.
• Comply with safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, reporting hazards.
• Provide accurate written and electronic reporting of work performed, findings, and equipment status.
• Other duties as assigned.
