Job summary

R.L. Deppmann is seeking a field service technician to provide hydronic, steam, and plumbing startup and warranty repair services for commercial systems on customer sites in Michigan and northern Ohio.

You will perform factory-authorized startups, diagnose issues, and train owners while collaborating with contractors, engineers, and the service team. A high school diploma and hands-on mechanical experience are required, with travel within the MI-OH territory and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on field experience.
• Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and diagrams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat for reports.

Responsibilities

• Factory-authorized startup and commissioning of commercial pumping systems.
• Startup and programming of Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs).
• Pump troubleshooting and diagnostics.
• Mechanical seal, bearing, coupling, and motor replacement.
• Hydronic system troubleshooting and owner training after startup.
• Communicate professionally with contractors and building owners.
• Prepare accurate electronic startup reports and timecards.
