Job summary

MasTec Communications Group is seeking an HVAC/Telecom Technician to perform field service maintenance, remedial work, and emergency repairs on HVAC equipment for telecom and data centers. You will diagnose, repair, and install components, with on-call travel and a company vehicle provided.

The role requires reading ladder schematics, knowledge of HVAC codes, EPA 608 certification, and the ability to work independently at sites across the service area.

Qualifications

• Experience reading electrical ladder schematics.
• Knowledge of HVAC codes and their proper application.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to travel M-F and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining commercial cooling systems on cell tower cooling units and troubleshoot/repair.
• Replace or install heating and cooling systems and ductwork as required.
• Test electrical circuits and components for continuity; verify leaks and connections.
• Layout and connect electrical wiring according to diagrams; troubleshoot low-voltage controls.
