Job summary

MasTec Communications Group is seeking a skilled HVAC/Telecom Technician to perform field service maintenance and emergency repairs on telecom and data center HVAC systems. The role involves diagnosing, repairing, and installing components across complex cooling networks at remote sites.

Applicants should read ladders and schematics, have plumbing knowledge, and hold an EPA 608 refrigerant card. Travel and on-call availability are highly preferred for extensive site coverage.

Qualifications

• HVAC knowledge and experience in field service.
• Ability to read electrical ladder schematics and plumbing basics.
• EPA 608 refrigerant handling and universal refrigerant card.
• Willingness to travel and be on call.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair commercial cooling systems for telecom sites.
• Perform maintenance and upgrades on HVAC equipment.
• Install/replace ductwork and heating/cooling systems as needed.
• Test electrical circuits and piping for leaks and continuity.
• Travel to sites, work solo or with a team, and adhere to safety rules.
