Job summary

MasTec Communications Group is hiring an HVAC/Telecom Technician to perform field service maintenance and emergency repairs on HVAC equipment for telecom and data centers. The role requires diagnosing, repairing, and installing components, with extensive travel and on-call availability.

Responsibilities include maintaining cooling systems for cell towers, installing duct work, testing electrical circuits, and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Read and understand electrical ladder schematics.
• Basic plumbing knowledge of sump pumps.
• Knowledge of HVAC codes and their proper application.
• Able to travel M-F and on weekends as needed.
• EPA 608 refrigerant certification required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain commercial cooling systems on cell tower cooling units.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, or install system components.
• Install or replace duct systems in telecom shelters.
• Test electrical circuits for continuity.
• Troubleshoot low-voltage control systems.
• Perform safety and technical training as required.
