Job summary

MasTec Communications Group is seeking an HVAC/Telecom Technician to perform field service maintenance, remedial, and emergency repairs on telecom and data-center cooling equipment. The role involves diagnosing, repairing, installing, and upgrading cooling systems and related components at multiple sites.

You will travel extensively, read electrical schematics, and ensure safety and FCC/OSHA compliance while delivering high-quality service.

Qualifications

• Experience reading electrical ladder schematics.
• Knowledge of pumps, dry coolers and cooling towers.
• EPA 608 refrigerant certification (Type 1/2/3).
• Valid driver's license with clean record.
• Ability to travel M-F and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair commercial cooling systems on cell tower cooling units.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, or install components of complete systems.
• Install or replace duct systems in telecommunication shelters.
• Test electrical circuits and leaks; verify connections per drawings.
• Travel as required and work independently or with a team.
