Job summary

Pape’ Kenworth – San Leandro, CA is seeking a Mobile Truck Technician/Mechanic for a swing shift to service medium and heavy‑duty class 7 & 8 trucks at customer locations. You will diagnose, repair, and restore trucks to peak performance, prioritizing uptime and safety.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience working on medium and heavy-duty class 7/8 trucks.
• Kenworth Essentials certifications preferred.
• Basic computer knowledge; Cummins and MX software experience preferred.
• Must provide own tools.
• Driver's license with a good driving record; Class A CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work in the field at customer locations on medium and heavy-duty class 7/8 trucks, ensuring repairs are done accurately and timely.
• Analyze and diagnose truck malfunctions or system failures to determine the best corrective action.
• Repair or rebuild components such as engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical, and air systems as needed.
• Maintain and service trucks to maximize uptime and safety in the field.
