Job summary

Pattison Company LLC is seeking a Health & Safety Coordinator in Clayton, IA to support safety culture and policy implementation. The role requires strong communication, field experience, and the ability to work 50+ hours weekly including nights and weekends.

The candidate will monitor safety programs, mentor staff, and collaborate across departments, reporting to the Health and Safety Director. MSHA familiarity and MSHA Part 48 are preferred but training is available.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or High School Diploma.
• 2 years’ field experience in Health and Safety or Supervisor in mining, construction, refining and/or rail industries preferred.
• Part 48 MSHA required. Training available onsite.
• All Pattison employees must hold a valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Implement company safety policies and programs throughout departments.
• Promote a strong health and safety culture and ensure on‑site compliance.
• Coordinate safety training, incidents, and audits with team members.
• Assist in high production environments and manage on‑call nights/weekends when needed.
• Maintain records and report metrics to the Health and Safety Director.
