Job summary

Xylem Tree Experts in Rocky Mount, NC seeks a Groundsperson to support the crew by performing ground-based tasks, clearing brush and trees, and assisting with site cleanup after each job.

This full-time position requires a valid driver's license and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather. You will load and unload materials, operate basic tools, and help set up traffic control and safety measures as directed by the Foreperson.

Qualifications

• Must possess physical strength and balance to drag heavy limbs and use saws in uneven terrain.
• Able to work outdoors under varying weather conditions.
• Must be able to hear verbal instructions from a distance.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain first-aid certification and CPR.
• Must have and maintain a Driver's License if hired for a driving position.

Responsibilities

• Follow safe practices and enforce rules on site.
• Keep work area clear of debris at all times.
• Clear undergrowth from right-of-way using handsaws, pole saws, pruners, and other tools to cut brush and trees.
