Job summary

Summit Drilling, LLC is seeking a Geophysicist to support drilling services by locating utilities and clearing bore locations, plus seismic and borehole logging work. This field role requires independence, teamwork, and a hands-on approach in varying conditions.

The ideal candidate has a geology/geophysics background or related experience, with strong attention to safety and environmental standards. Regular travel to PA, NJ, NY, MD, and DE is expected, with overtime opportunities as projects

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Geosciences, Environmental Sciences, or related field or 2+ years of utility locating experience.
• Valid driver's license with clean record and willingness to travel to PA/NJ/NY/MD/DE.
• Proficiency with MS Office; ability to learn Surfer, Uinta and Pix4D.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety programs and client-specific policies on site.
• Prepare and maintain geophysical equipment and vehicles daily.
• Support drilling/logistical planning using survey results.
• Communicate with Project Manager and clients; address questions promptly.
• Collect data accurately and maintain survey logs and reports.
• Collaborate across departments to achieve project goals.
