Job summary

Summit Drilling in Easton, PA is seeking a Geophysicist to support drilling services by locating utilities and clearing boring locations, along with seismic, electrical resistivity, and borehole geophysical logging. You’ll work independently or as part of a team in a dynamic field environment.

Ideal candidates will have utility locating equipment experience, a safety‑first mindset, and a willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Geosciences, Environmental Sciences, or related field.
• Or 2+ years of utility locating experience.

Responsibilities

• Safety and Compliance: Adhere to safety programs, participate in daily briefings, use PPE correctly, identify hazards, ensure environmental compliance.
• Equipment Preparation and Maintenance: Daily checks and maintenance of geophysical equipment, document malfunctions, keep gear clean.
• Operational Support: Use survey results for planning drilling/remediation, relay results to Project Manager, flag concerns before intrusive work.
• Client Satisfaction and Communication: Maintain professionalism with clients, update on progress, address questions promptly.
• Data Collection and Reporting: Aid in accurate data collection during surveys, maintain logs and reports.
• Team Collaboration and Development: Work with departments to achieve goals, share knowledge, participate in evaluations.
