Job summary

GFT in Ebensburg, PA is seeking an experienced Geotechnical Driller to join our drilling crews on geotechnical, environmental and structural subsurface projects. You will operate drill rigs, collect field data, and supervise drilling assistants while collaborating with project managers to meet safety and production goals.

The role requires a high school diploma, valid PA driver's license, and willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• Geotechnical drilling/operating experience required.
• Valid PA Driver’s License with clean driving record.
• Ability to work safely outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Willingness to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate drill rig(s) and supervise drilling operations for auger borings, SPT sampling, rock coring, monitoring well installations, and other types of drilling.
• Collect field data per specifications and job instructions.
• Train and supervise drilling assistants on-site.
• Meet production requirements and utilization goals.
• Maintain drill rigs and equipment and ensure safety practices are followed.
• Comply with DOT regulations and keep records; travel as required with expenses paid.
