Job summary

Summit Drilling is seeking a Geophysicist to support drilling services by locating utilities and clearing bore locations. The role involves seismic and other geophysical methods, working in a hands-on field environment, and traveling to PA, NJ, NY, MD, and DE locations with occasional overnight stays.

The ideal candidate has a geology/geoscience background or 2+ years of utility locating experience, plus proficiency with Surfer, Uinta, and Pix4D, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geology, Geosciences, Environmental Sciences, or a related field OR 2+ years of utility locating experience.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to learn Surfer, Uinta, Pix4D.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety programs and daily briefings.
• Maintain geophysical equipment and vehicles.
• Support drilling services by locating utilities and clearing locations.
• Relay survey results to Project Manager and teams.
• Maintain logs and reports of survey results.
