Job summary

Granite Construction is seeking a field geophysicist to operate and deploy geophysical logging equipment for Water Resources development projects. You will select instruments, perform logging services, and document observations in the field for a variety of clients.

Ideal candidates have a Radiation License (RSO) and experience explaining complex findings to clients. Travel and long unsupervised work periods are required, with responsibilities including data processing and client presentations.

Qualifications

• Radiation License (RSO) required.
• 3 years of downhole geophysical logging experience preferred.
• Ability to work unsupervised for long periods.
• Experience communicating complex problems and findings to clients.
• Willingness to travel and stay out of town.

Responsibilities

• Operate and deploy geophysical logging equipment in the field.
• Select instruments based on client needs.
