Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Staff Geologist or Field Scientist to support environmental site assessment and remediation projects. The role combines office and fieldwork with travel to Los Angeles and Ventura Counties, and requires strong data management, reporting, and safety practices.

You will work under supervision on multi-person project teams, conduct soil, groundwater, and soil vapor sampling, and help prepare technical reports.

Qualifications

• BS in Geology, Environmental Science or related field.
• MS in Geology or related field preferred.
• Professional licensure or interest in licensure is a plus.
• 3 years of relevant experience in site investigation, remediation, or environmental consulting.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple tasks with adherence to scope, budget and schedule.
• Communicate daily with project team and clients.
• Assist with-site assessment and remediation projects with multi-person teams.
• Prepare health and safety documents and coordinate with subcontractors.
• Conduct fieldwork (about 70%) including soil, groundwater, and soil vapor sampling, daily reports.
